Saturday, July 11th, Saturn of Rockford, First Northern Credit Union, Maverick Media and various local organizations are teaming up bring you the First Annual Autism Awareness Event.

 

Today, 1 in 150 individuals are diagnosed with autism. That is more than AIDS, Pediatric Cancer and Diabetes combined. During this event, experts will provide information about the warning signs, how to cope, and how to treat Autism Spectrum Disorders.

 

Find out about the many resources in the Rockford area including those from Easter Seals and many more! Listen to speakers such as an adult who has lived with autism describe his journey, a mom with close ties to Autism and a doctor who was so deeply troubled by this epidemic that he left a successful pediatric practice to specialize in its treatment.
